Job Summary: The Learning
and Development Manager will support the Country Learning & Development
mission of providing high quality learning & development through the development
of learning processes, maps, material and facilitation of training and learning
activities and interventions; with specific focus on providing technical
support & resources to the country, to ensure business plan objectives are
met. He /she will be responsible for the co-ordination of the overall Country
Training Budget, in co-operation with Country Training Staff and the monitoring
and execution of plans in accordance with Country Standards and within the
required KPI benchmarks. The incumbent will play a key role in helping projects
and change initiatives meet business objective. This role desires faster
adoption, greater utilization and higher proficiency on the changes impacting
employees in the organisation such that business results are achieved.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive culture initiatives within the
organisation. - Works closely with the functional heads,
lead change management.
Conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new hires
and existing staff. - Work with management to identify training
needs and recommend interventions. - Analyze training needs to develop new
training programs or modify and improve existing programs. - Develop and organize training manuals and
other educational materials. - Carry out or arrange for ongoing training
and development for staff members - Evaluate instructor performance and the
effectiveness of training programs. - Actively formulate and manage the training
and development budget. - Manage Training Administration.
- Develop the Annual Training Calendar.
- Manage the team based performance program
across all Competencies
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Learning and Development Manager
should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or Business
Related field. - Four or more years’ experience in training
function in a busy work environment. - Working knowledge and skills in talent
management, recruitment & selection is an added advantage. - Detailed knowledge of principles and
methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for
individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects. - Proven ability to provide and monitor
customer service levels and take corrective action. - Ability to execute administrative and
clerical procedures and systems, designing forms, and other office
procedures. - Excellent interpersonal skills and in
particular listening, communication, and time management skills. - Ability to execute administrative and
