Job Title:  Demand Planner

of Coca-Cola products in Uganda.
Job Summary: The Demand Planner will be responsible for;
  • Technically supporting the strategic
    planning process by ensuring that forecasting intelligence is incorporated
    into the brand planning process and business strategy.
  • Overseeing and monitoring adherence to
    monthly forecast planning calendar.
  • Actively facilitating monthly consensus
    forecast meetings between sales & marketing.
  • Driving Demand planning (from Sales &
    Marketing perspective) to improve on efficiencies”
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and maintain long term strategic
    forecast in line with company strategy.
  • Develop and maintain accurate 24 months
    rolling estimate forecast in line with company strategy and within agreed
    upon change parameters.
  • Regularly review and maintain 13weeks
    forecast.
  • Obtain marketing intelligence information
    from sales and marketing.
  • Review and actualize sales history to
    ensure accuracy on future forecasts.
  • Monitor weekly exception reports by
    category, conduct root cause analysis and develop model enhancements  and/or parameter optimization.
  • Review and maintain product
    classifications such that exceptions reporting is consistent and accurate.
  • Model and manage new and discontinued
    items.
  • Lead monthly Sales and Operations Planning
    (S&OP) process with cross-functional partners Sales, Marketing,
  • Finance and Supply planning to reach a
    consensus plan.
  • Review inventory levels daily to ensure
    optimum inventory.
  • Review and drive continuous improvement in
    process and KPIs through training and development.
  • Perform any other duties as may be
    assigned
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate should preferably hold
    a Degree in Business Studies with a bias in statistics or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in
    business analytics.
  • Proven quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Possess a good understanding of data,
    statistical forecasting techniques and software, products and markets.
  • Excellent communication skills and
    leadership within cross-functional teams.
  • Self motivated individual who continuously
    looks for improvement opportunities, highly structured and also  open to ideas.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to
    creatively solve and take ownership of problems and resolution
