American Tower Corporation (ATC) Vacancies – Quality Assurance Manager

American Tower Corporation (ATC) is the largest independent owner and
operator of shared wireless infrastructure in Uganda. ATC offers a variety of
wireless infrastructure solutions around the world that include towers, managed
networks, in-building and outdoor Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Small Cells
and Wi-Fi.
Job Summary: The incumbent will be managing the resource
allocation for all projects and guide the quality assurance team to achieve the
business goals. The role holder will oversee the implementation of software
test standards and support the team in executing test plans based on the
technical and functional requirements of the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Formulate QA compliance objectives and
    targets required.
  • Drive and ensure the quality of all test
  • Ensure that all test plans adhere to
    software test guidelines and standards.
  • Define software validation processes and
    best practices
  • Regularly review and establish new metrics
    for assessing software quality and evaluate results as defined by the QA
  • Manage process improvement plan
  • Manage in-house and outsourced software
  • Manage functional testing and corrections
    of any operational difficulties encountered in executing tests.
  • Oversee the creation of both automated and
    manual regression tests for all key applications.
  • Manage the creation of test scripts and
    ensures complete testing of applications by the Quality Assurance team.
  • Provide detailed status updates of all
    active projects, including overall product quality, outstanding product
    difficulties and milestones achieved.
  • Ensure that business requirements for each
    project are verified with business users, project managers, and
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant should preferably hold a
    University Degree in Civil, or Construction Management or any other
    related field preferred.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in QA
    working on Microsoft or UNIX platforms or Oracle ERP (Enterprise Resource
    Planning) applications environment
  • Past experience in Tower business,
    Operations, Leasing, and Real Estate preferred
  • Prior experience in writing and
    implementing test plans
  • Past exposure and experience with
    relational databases and query tools is a plus
  • Leadership skills
  • Partner governance skills
