Job Summary: The Supervisor
Estates will actively monitor and manage operations of Estates and Utilities
Unit and the Organization’s Engineering Works in line with the administration
guidelines and other relevant laws.

- Develop
Bills of Quantities, technical specifications, and guidance on Estates
developments in line with Administration guidelines and the governing
Engineering Standards. - Manage
all outsourced civil works contracts in line with best practices and the
Engineering standards - Actively
monitor and maintain URA land and properties in line with URA
Administration guidelines and best practices. - Monitor
and Evaluate Supply, maintenance and utilization of all URA utilities in
line with Administration guidelines and standards. - Plan
and monitor the implementation of Unit Plans to ensure all activities
implemented are within the provisions of the budget - The
incumbent will plan and manage the performance and development of staff
under jurisdiction so as to improve their productivity - Perform
any other duties assigned by the respective line Supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The
Supervisor Estates should hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil
Engineering obtained from a recognized academic institution - Membership
with a professional body of Civil Engineers is essential - Post
Graduate Qualification in Project Planning & Management and/or
Contract Management, Facilities Management is an added advantage. - Three
or more years’ experience in engineering practice with a reputable
organization - Strong
understanding of building and Civil Engineering Projects and Estates
Management - Working
knowledge of the Engineering Act, PPDA Act and other relevant legislation - Knowledge
of Uganda National Land policy and Uganda Land Act - Past
experience in the supervision of major civil works and or building
projects
Age: Below 35 years

The Uganda Revenue Authority
(URA) was established by the Uganda Revenue Authority Statute of 1991 and set
up in September of the same year as a central body for assessment and
collection of specified revenue, to administer and enforce the laws relating to
such revenue and to provide for related matters. This statute incorporated all
the laws that were in force then regarding tax collection. The new organization
(URA) amalgamated the three tax administration departments that were
responsible for all the taxes collected by the Central Government of Uganda.
