the technology which helps the business performance of its customers that
include travel agencies, corporations, airlines, ground handlers, hotels,
railways, car rental companies, airports, cruise lines and ferry operators.
The Sales and Account Manager – Uganda will be responsible
for the  achievement of the assigned
account management objectives for new and existing clients via the acquisition,
retention and development of clients in portfolio in accordance with the
company’s commercial policies
Duties and Responsibilities: 
1. Sales and Account Management in
accordance with the company’s commercial policies and strategy for Sales and
Account Management, as defined by Regional Sales Manager;
Initiate, follow-up and lead all
stages of the sales cycle from prospecting to closure of sales deals in order
to meet or exceed the established sales targets, visiting/calling clients and
performing product demos as required, liaising/coordinating the various ACO
departments to ensure prospect support and satisfaction.
Build, develop and maintain
structured relationships with account decision makers in order to develop
opportunities, retain, and expand business within the accounts, liaising/coordinating
within the internal organization to ensure customer needs and requirements are
met to a highest degree.
Build, develop and maintain
relationships with travel agents within the client to promote the company and
its products, visiting/calling clients and performing product demos as required
maximizing loyalty from the agents themselves.
Understand deep customer needs both
at decision makers level and travel agents level and channel this knowledge to
Management and Product Management/ Marketing departments
Works closely with the Sales
administration support, Product Management, Operations Management and Finance
teams at critical phases during sales & account management process
(especially negotiation and deal closing phases) in order to ensure correct
client activation and product and services delivery.
Manage new clients (new travel
agencies openings as well as travel agencies previously working with competing
GDSs) ensuring correct activation and customer profitability.
Assume full commercial responsibility
for clients in portfolio
Comply with objectives set by the
Regional Sales Manager, achieving expected revenue, profitability, and
satisfaction levels in portfolio.
Maintain a high level of current
knowledge of the product portfolio and the benefits of specific products for
each targeted customer segment as well as of other segment relevant information
(trends, strategy, competitors, pricing, etc.)
2. Sales Team Support and Knowledge
Sharing & Internal reporting:
Ensure sharing of knowledge and best
demonstrated practices with team members.
Develop competencies and motivation
of team members.
Support team members in the
relationship with important clients/ prospects.
Works closely with all company
departments to share and receive the right level of support for sales and
account management activities.
Provide weekly planning and
reporting on activities to the Regional Sales Manager using the different
company tools and reporting methods.
Transmit relevant client, market and
competitor information, as well as product functionality requirements to the
Regional Sales Manager.
Performance Indicators:
Acquisition: Air bookings
Development: Air and Non-Air Booking
Retention target (as percentage of
total portfolio)
Migration / production targets
Skills and Experience: 
The applicant should hold a High
degree/ MBA
At least five to eight years of
sales & account management experience preferably in the travel industry or
in service companies with intensive use of IT, including experience in sales
team management, sales and account management processes, sales pipeline
Detailed knowledge and understanding
of IT and technology products and solutions enough to understand client needs
and technology implications.
Good knowledge and understanding of
reservation systems at functional level
Solid PC skills (Excel, word,
Selling solutions (consultative
Able to define and execute
commercial strategy, tracking effectiveness.
Able to build and implement Account
Key Development Plans.
Excellent problem solving and
negotiation skills to support and lead
English and local language fluent.
