Key Duties and
1. Strategy Development and Planning:
  • Actively
    facilitates the overall strategic planning, direction and management of
    the financial / accounting functions and operations of the company
  • Ensures
    maximization of profits through enhancing revenues and incomes and
    implementing successful cost –controls
2. Financial Accounting and Management Reporting:
  • Ensures
    timely and accurate preparation of financial accounts of the company in
    line with the local and international laws, accounting standards and
    generally accepted practices;
  • Provides
    timely and effective information to management regarding performance of
    the company through various MIS reports;
  • Generates
    reports and tools for monitoring business performance and sharing sharp
    insights on various business issues on a regular basis.
3. Business Planning and Budgetary Control:
  • In
    charge of the preparation of Budgets (Monthly / quarterly/ annual)
  • Preparation
    of forecast reports.
  • Responsible
    for the monitoring of performance against the budget. Raising timely
    alarms on possible budget breach and recommend corrective actions.
  • Controlling
    expenses against budget
  • Ensuring
    adherence to the financial policies for approval of various expenses.
4. Banking, Treasury and Working Capital Management:
  • Responsible
    for opening and maintenance of banking accounts, managing relation with
    banks and other financial institutions.
  • Arranges
    for working capital for smooth running of company operations mainly by
    collection of debts within agreed time;
  • Manages
    cash transfers to Headquarters;
  • Monitoring
    the credit arrangements with clients and vendors and advising management
    for the improvement area on the credit limits.
  • Preparing
    Cash flow/ fund flow forecasts and planning the weekly/monthly fund
5. Accounts Receivable Management:
  • Establish
    a proper measurement method for improvement of Daily Sales Outstanding
    (DSO) to improve Third Party DSO to improve.
  • Ensuring
    effective collection and low outstanding in 30+ Buckets.
  • Taking
    timely action (legal) for cases with long outstanding or disputes.
  • Timely
    closure of reconciliation with customers. Resolutions of customer queries.
  • Oversees
    and controls invoicing and ensure that invoicing is done in line with
    company rules
  • Correct
    and timely invoicing to customers (within 48 hours of loading)
  • Timely
    dispatch of invoices
6. Audit and Compliance:
  • Managing
    and facilitating periodic statutory and other audits.
  • Managing
    audits / verifications by various Government agencies (like tax, custom
    and other authorities)
  • Ensuring
    compliance to Tax, Customs, VAT and other applicable laws. Timely filing
    of returns, proper calculation of deposit of taxes.
  • Liaise
    with Auditors, consultants and other professional agencies.
  • Informing
    management of all legal/ statutory/ compliance risks which the business
    might be exposed to on a timely basis.
7. People Management:
  • Have
    a proper Org structure for the Finance team.
  • Provide
    proper job description and key result areas to team members.
  • Leading
    the performance monitoring and appraisal process.
  • Lead
    by example and create a healthy, happy and satisfying work culture in
  • Provide
    training, coaching, development and motivation to bring out the best in
    each team member.
Qualifications, Skills and
  • The
    applicant should be qualified accounting profession with either ACA, ACCA
    or CPA
  • At
    least seven to nine years working experience in a similar position
  • Computer
    literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power point.
  • Working
    knowledge on ERP system like Oracle, SAP will be an added advantage.
  • Working
    knowledge of IFRS will be an added advantage
  • Should
    have managed a team
  • Excellent
    communications skills
  • Team
    player with good interpersonal skills
  • Good
    organizational skills
  • Proactive,
    disciplined and able to work under minimum supervision
