Job Summary:
The Sales and Distributions Specialist will
manage the Sales and distribution functions, lead the development of sales and
distribution strategies and initiatives of PACE products and services to
achieve set goals.

Key Duties
and Responsibilities:

1. Planning and Quality Assurance:
- Actively
coordinate the organization’s sales and distribution forecasting for the
various products and establish targets in line with the organization’s
strategic plan and donor requirements - Monitor,
track and advise the organization about sales performance against targets - Draw
trade marketing plans for each of the brands on an annual basis and ensure
the implementation of the same
2. Social Marketing:
- Carry
out market analysis and device approaches for generating new products /
business; - Develop
and manage national and regional specific promotions aimed towards
achieving set targets. - Propose
appropriate sales and distribution structure for PACE products that lead
to improved coverage and quality of coverage for PACE products - Manage
and propose improvements of the Movercado distribution and communications
SMS and mobile money ecosystem. - Actively
monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
3. People and Culture management: Manage and develop the sales
team and agencies towards meeting the allocated sales targets for all products

4. Financial and asset management:
- Oversee
the analysis of pricing and cost recovery of the various PACE brands; - Determine
price schedules and discount rates; - Devise
cost efficiency metrics for the sales department and monitor sales
performance on a continuous basis and come up with appropriate strategies
to address gaps identified; - Manage
the sales budget to see that the department operates efficiently within
the allocated budget.
5. Risk Management:
- Ensure
PACE’s sales and distribution policy is adhered to by the field staff and
distributors including ensuring good credit management as defined by the
policy. - Identify
potential risks within the sales department and propose a risk management
plan;
6. Knowledge Management:
- Provide
general market intelligence and specific feedback to organization for
learning and improvement; - Manage
the retail audit agency and put together strategies for gaps identified by
the audit;
7. Advocacy, PR and Relationship management:
- Build
and maintain business and professional relations with PACE’s stakeholders - Actively
coordinate with relevant departments e.g. Supply Chain, Marketing, and
Accounts etc. in order to achieve the set objectives;

coverage and quality of coverage for all products nationally; - Growing
cost recoverable product portfolio - Motivated

Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
Skills and Experience:
- The
applicants for the Sales and Distributions Specialist should hold a
Master’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration. The
incumbent should hold a Bachelor’ s degree in Sales or equivalent - A
minimum of eight of more years’ of relevant experience, 4 of which must be
at management level. - Past
experience in developing sales strategies and execution methodologies. - Competencies: Strong communication and negotiation skills;
Leadership and supervisory skills; Strong customer service skills; Ability
to build and maintain strong business relationships; Planning and
organization skills; Ability to drive change and innovation; Strategic and
analytical skills
