Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactively
develop, support and strategically manage the ICT environment including
networks, servers, desktop/laptop and operating systems. The focus being
to ensure that the ICT Support function acts as the liaison between
customer organization’s and suppliers and also as a supplier of services
in its own right. This will include strategically selecting those services
best provided in-house and those best provided by third parties. - The
Infrastructure Manager’s major duty is to plan, organize, and manage staff
and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of the
organization’s IT infrastructure. - Developing,
maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly
network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and
telecommunications systems. - The
Infrastructure Manager will also be required to schedule and direct
activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and
accurate fashion. - The
Infrastructure will also be in charge of the effective execution and
achievement of the organization’s strategic IT goals.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The
most ideal candidate for the Infrastructure Manager career opportunity at
Bayport must hold a University degree in the field of computer science. - Professional
certifications in Project Management, Business Management, ITIL and
Financial Management are beneficial. - Five
or more years’ successful leadership of an infrastructure team. - Hands-on
experience in troubleshooting hardware. - Extensive
knowledge and understanding of current protocols and standards. - Past
experience in interpreting the applicability of local and federal laws/regulations
to company operations.
