The Insurance
Institute of Uganda (IIU) is the training arm of the Insurance Industry in
Uganda. It is also the representative insurance professional body under the
Law. IIU is licensed by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) as a
Private Tertiary Institution.

Job Summary: The Head Of Examinations will be responsible for the
management and administration of students and examinations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Head of Examinations will
have the following key results:

- Coordinate
the process of reviewing examination policies and procedures from
time-to-time - Carrying
out regular research on examinations related matters to ensure currency
and validity - Oversee
the identification and training of setters, moderators and markers to
ensure that the examinations setting process is properly conducted - Actively
coordinate the regular review of rules and regulations related to
examination administration and syllabuses. - Responsible
for the coordination of the preparation of examination papers including
proof reading, printing and custody of such papers - In
charge of the processing of examination results and dispatch of results
slips and certificates to candidates - Administer
exams (sitting venues arrangement, invigilation, marking and communication
to students). - Manage
students’ records and data bases - In
charge of preparing departmental plans - Provide
administrative services to the Examinations Committee
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
Head of Examinations should hold a first Honors Bachelor’s and Master’s
degree from recognized institutions - Five
or more years’ of related experience in examinations management preferably
in a University setting.
