Project which is established between the Chamber of Skilled Crafts and Small
Businesses Cologne (HWK) and the partner institutions in Uganda, namely; The
Nakawa Vocational Training Institute (NVTI), as main partner, the Uganda
Manufacturers Association and the Uganda Small Scale Industries Association, as
cooperating partners. The project is contributing to improve the quality of
vocational education in Uganda through offering demand driven basic and
up-grading vocational skills.
- Responsible
for project management, including planning, implementation, M&E of the
agreed project objectives and results according to the MoU - Technically
support to partners in conducting Training Needs Assessments and curricula
development - Render
support to the main partner in the delivery of customized training courses - Technically
support in the financial and overall administration of the project - Actively
facilitate regular contact and communication among the partners - Organize
the project steering committee meetings - Perform
any other duties as may be assigned by the HWK coordinator from time to
time.
- The
ideal candidate should hold a University degree or equivalent
qualification in disciplines related to project activities (vocational/
technical training, business management, project management or related
studies) - Five
or more years’ experience in a related field - Private
sector experience will be an added advantage - Working
knowledge of the BTVET sub-sector in Uganda - Computer
literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. - Possess
excellent interpersonal skills and team player - Possession
of a valid driving license - Willingness
to start work immediately
