USAID for a Fistula Care plus project whose objective is to strengthen health
system capacity for fistula prevention, detection, treatment and reintegration.
The project will strengthen environments to enable for fistula prevention and
treatment, increase community awareness and support for women and girls with
fistula, reduce barriers to accessing prevention, detection, and care, and
improve the evidence base for approaches to improve fistula care in the
districts of Hoima, Masaka, Kalungu and Kasese.
administrative support and perform a variety of cleaning functions to keep the
office premises clean and tidy, ensuring a clean and conducive working
environment.
- Maintains supplies and sundries by
checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating requirements
and notify the responsible person. - Actively support the verification of
receipts and delivery of supplies before they are taken to the office
stores - Coordinate messenger and courier services
- The applicant will be making bulk
photocopies, binding, laminating materials and shredding documents. - Actively supports the preparation for
meetings and events, arranging for refreshments and necessary equipment. - Loading and offloading items as instructed
and ensuring that way bills and goods received notes are signed. - Cleans the floors, walls, doors, windows,
ventilations and lavatory areas. Empties disposal bins while observing
infection control protocol. Dusting desks, chairs, computers and other
equipment on use by staff to ensure that they are dust free and usable. - Keep the pantry and utensils clean and
ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy at all times - Checking and cleaning the lavatories, to
ensure a general state of tidiness and hygiene to include replenishing the
consumables like soap, Tissue paper, etc. - Ensure garbage is collected from office
premises whenever due or at intervals as per contracted collectors and
burn paper and similar materials as necessary. - Manage the services of garbage collectors
and other external service providers and report any breach of contract on
their part. - Maintain plants and gardens, cut the lawn
as required and clear shrubs growing over and around the fence. - Clean the tarmac and the outside porches
frequently so that mud is not brought into the buildings and generally
keep the property in good condition. - Maintaining general office tidiness.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the
supervisor.

Assistant should hold an ‘’O’’ and / or “A” Level School
Certificate(s) - At least two or more years’ experience in
a similar position. - Ability to multitask with excellent organizational
skills - Works well in a fast-pace environment
- Courteous with good written and spoken
English - Show patience and maintains professional
appearance.
