Job Summary: The Systems
Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, implementation and
maintenance of various technologies managed by the Information Technology
Department. The incumbent will mainly focus on the administration of the
Company’s network infrastructure to include Personal Computers, Macintosh,
Servers, Network Equipment and Software Applications. The Systems Administrator
will assess and identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into the
Company’s systems operations and make recommendations for implementation.
Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, implementation and
maintenance of various technologies managed by the Information Technology
Department. The incumbent will mainly focus on the administration of the
Company’s network infrastructure to include Personal Computers, Macintosh,
Servers, Network Equipment and Software Applications. The Systems Administrator
will assess and identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into the
Company’s systems operations and make recommendations for implementation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- In charge of the planning, design,
documentation and implementation of various systems to include Servers,
Network Equipment and Software Applications. - Actively monitor and Maintain use of ICT
equipment - Develop, maintain and monitor procedures
for all Server backups - Monitor, plan and co-ordinate the
distribution of client/server software and service packs - Makes recommendations for new equipment
and services, works with various ICT vendors for procurement - Systems upgrade by conferring with vendors
and services – developing, testing, evaluating and installing enhancements
and new software - Perform on-site and remote technical
support to the organization and inventory of all hardware and software
resources - Protects organization’s value by keeping
information confidential - Regularly consult and update the Technical
Support Manager on all ICT-related issues
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should have two years
of related experience in a busy ICT driven environment. - Skills in System Administration
- Working LAN knowledge
- Skills in Server administration
- Extensive networking knowledge including
Hardware Configuration, Maintenance and Network Performance Tuning.
