Job Summary:
 The Switch Board Operator will
primarily, transfer and respond to calls on the Bank’s general lines.
Key Duties
and Responsibilities: 
  • In charge of answering   incoming calls, greeting callers,
    providing information, transferring calls and taking messages as
    necessary.
  • Operate communication systems, such as
    telephone, switchboard, intercom, two-way radio, or public address.
  • Relay or route written or verbal messages to
    various stakeholders.
  • Place telephone calls or arrange conference
    calls as instructed.
  • The incumbent will capture customer issues that
    come in through the switch board and submit a weekly report and monthly
    report.
  • Routinely escalate  and follow up outstanding issues with
    respective stakeholders
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicants for the Centenary Bank Switch
    Board Operator job opportunity should possess an Honours Bachelor’s degree
    from a recognised institution
  • At least two to three years’ experience with an
    in depth understanding of the Bank’s operation
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Bank’s
    products and services
  • Previous exposure in a call Centre or as a
    Switch Board Operator an added advantage
  • Excellent communication and inter personal
    skills
  • Creative thinking
  • Possess the ability to interpret the meaning of
    information for others
  • Ability to analyse data and or information
  • Grievance handling, negotiation and conflict
    resolution skills
  • Superior telephone etiquette
  • Good organization, planning, and Prioritization
    skills.
  • Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new
    knowledge to your job.
