Accountant
(PHS)Program
USAID/Uganda Private Health Support Program aims to strengthen, organize and
mobilize the private health sector to provide Ugandans with the option of
high-quality services. The Program’s key objectives are: 1) expanded
availability of health services by private service providers; 2) increased affordability
of private health services and products; and 3) improved quality of private
health sector facilities and services.
Management Specialist with processing of payments, staff payroll, tracking and clearing
of advances.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain
vouchers and receipts for all purchases and payments - Process
accounts receivable and other incoming deposits - Ensure
that all payments have been approved by the authorized personnel in writing,
and to ensure that proper hard copies of all accounting records are kept - Keenly
track all advances whether for travel or petty cash payments - Send
quarterly VAT report to the donor as required. - Perform
any other related duty as assigned
Experience:
- The
applicant should hold a Graduate degree in Business, Finance and
Accounting; - Possession
of professional accounting qualification i.e. ACCA or CPA qualification is
an added advantage - At
least three years’ experience managing finances under donor funded
projects, preferably USAID- funded projects - Possess
excellent communication skills - Computer
literacy skills i.e. knowledge of MS Excel and Word - Proficiency
in using Quickbooks software.
