Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Provide
transport services to URA staff as per the URA Fleet guidelines - Maintain
the Vehicle in a clean and excellent mechanical condition according to the
Fleet Management guidelines. - Routinely
conduct periodic checks on the assigned vehicle to determine maintenance
needs and report accordingly and timely - In
charge of the delivery of items, for example mail/correspondence,
stationery and supplies to the respective URA Offices and other
stakeholders in line with the Administrative Guidelines - Perform
any other duties assigned by the respective Supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The
applicants for the URA Fleet Assistants must possess valid driving permits
at least class B, Possession of classes CM, DL or DM is an added
advantage. - Must
have attained O’ Level qualification with at least a Pass in English &
Mathematics - Computer
literacy skills is a must. - Defensive
driving skills will be an added advantage - Specialized
training and or skills in automobile/Vehicle mechanics will be an added
advantage
Age: Below 45 years

The Uganda Revenue Authority
(URA) was established by the Uganda Revenue Authority Statute of 1991 and set
up in September of the same year as a central body for assessment and
collection of specified revenue, to administer and enforce the laws relating to
such revenue and to provide for related matters. This statute incorporated all
the laws that were in force then regarding tax collection. The new organization
(URA) amalgamated the three tax administration departments that were
responsible for all the taxes collected by the Central Government of Uganda.
