Job Summary:  The Office Attendant will primarily provide
Office Administration support services to the assigned offices and staff in
line with Departmental and Administrative Guidelines.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • Maintain and monitor the cleanliness of the office area,
    equipment, furniture, utensils e.t.c in line with Administration
    guidelines.
  • The Office Attendant will purchase/receive and prepare
    refreshments for office staff.
  • Maintain and manage clean and accurate records of documents for
    the office in line with Administration guidelines
  • Receive, record and re-direct correspondences as per records
    management and the Division guidelines.
  • Request, store and account for the office supplies and stationery
    in line with Administration guidelines.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the respective line
    Supervisor
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:          
  • The URA Office Attendants should possess Advanced Level
    Certificates with a Credit in English at Ordinary Level. Possession of an
    Ordinary Diploma will be an added advantage
  • Administrative skills including knowledge and use of computers
    package (i.e. Excel, Access, word) is an essential requirement
  • At least two (2) years working experience in a corporate
    environment
  • Past experience as an Office Attendant/Office Clerk is an added
    advantage
  • Working knowledge of and proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Computer literacy skills is an essential requirement
Age: Below 35 years
About URA:
The Uganda Revenue
Authority (URA) was established by the Uganda Revenue Authority Statute of 1991
and set up in September of the same year as a central body for assessment and
collection of specified revenue, to administer and enforce the laws relating to
such revenue and to provide for related matters. This statute incorporated all
the laws that were in force then regarding tax collection. The new organization
(URA) amalgamated the three tax administration departments that were
responsible for all the taxes collected by the Central Government of Uganda.
