Integrated Development Initiatives (CIDI)
Advocacy for Better Health
Development Initiatives (CIDI) is a National NGO that coordinates and
implements several projects in Uganda. CIDI works at the vanguard of community
development focusing on four thematic areas; water and sanitation promotion,
sustainable agriculture for food and incomes, health promotion, conflict prevention
and peace resolution. CIDI with branches across the country works amongst the
poor and vulnerable communities in both rural and urban areas to improve their
livelihoods. In partnership with PATH, CIDI will implement a 4 years USAID
funded program (Advocacy for Better Health) implemented in Kayunga, Luwero, and
Nakasongola.
- Overseeing
the front office desk in the most customer friendly way. - Receiving
all incoming communications (verbal, written, phone call etc and directing
them to the respective CIDI staffs and follow up to ensure action is
taken. - Taking
minutes of all CIDI staff meetings at the field office and ensuring that
all staffs receive the same before the next meeting. - Responsible
for staff office logistics such as drinks, eats and organizing the same
especially during staffs meetings and other official functions at the
field office. - Processing
all customer inquiries and controlling visitors to the office in the most
professional and ethical manner possible. - Making
appointment for and on behalf of CIDI staffs. - Managing
the support staff and ensure that they are always on duty and report and
leave at the agreed upon time. - Responsible
for the maintenance of proper stationary stock card and ensuring that
office stationary like photo copier, paper etc is only used for official
work. - Enforcing
economic use of resources; stationary, electricity, water and other office
utilities. - Identify
furniture and fixtures plus equipment in state of despair and report to
the responsible officer. - Strict
supervision of the support staff and other staffs as well to ensure that
all offices are tidy and orderly. - Ensuring
that the office is closed and secured and powered equipment turned off
after close of office. - Perform
any other duties as required by your immediate supervisor.
- Timeliness
and accuracy of assignments. - Cleanliness
of the reception area. - The
quality of handling calls and visitors. - Positive
working relation with all CIDI staffs& clients. - Arrival
and departure time.
- The
ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Public
Administration, Business Administration, Secretarial studies, Office
Administration and Management, Social Sciences or any other related field. - Excellent
track record of successfully working for not less than two years
performing similar duties in a busy professional environment. - Proven
good track record from the previous employer or any profiled person. - Highly
professional and ethical behavior and conduct when dealing with official
work. - Computer
working knowledge and skills on word, excel, power point with good typing
speed is a must. - High
degree of confidentiality - Working
knowledge of office management and supervision, including office
practices, procedures and equipment. - Possess
the ability to plan, install, review, refine and maintain office systems
and practices. - Ability
to assign, supervises and review work of subordinates. - Willingness
to work long hours with minimum supervision and take on extra duties. - Excellent
interpersonal relationship with all CIDI clients and staffs at all times.
