Supervision & Compliance
Regulatory Authority manages retirement plans for Uganda’s public workforce by
serving as the fiduciary stewards of the contributions and disbursements of the
pension trust funds. In partnership with the state’s public employers, we help
ensure that they can offer their employees a comprehensive retirement plan that
is responsive to their needs and is equitable to all stakeholders.
Risk & Investment Analysis will assess and guide Retirement Benefits
Schemes (RBS) in the formulation and implementation of investment decisions
though the provision of financial advice and services.
- Analyze
financial statements of Retirement Benefits Schemes to assess their
performance - Carry
out risk assessment of Retirement Benefits Schemes and propose the
supervision stance to be applied - Actively
coordinate continuous improvement of the RBS toolkit and assessment
guidelines - Coordinate
inspection of Retirement Benefits Schemes to ensure compliance with
financial reporting and disclosure requirements - Ensure
submission to the Authority of required financial and investment
performance reports of various Retirement Benefits Schemes. - Regularly
coordinate analysis of the submitted financial and investment performance
reports and prepare reports on the analysis - Works
closely with RBS Trustees, Administrators and fund managers and fund
trustees to ascertain financial and investment status of the RBS. - Ensure integrity of financial and
investment data of RBS. - Guide
staff in the development and implementation of an effective Risk
Management framework of RBS. - Perform
any other duties as assigned
- The
candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Economics,
Statistics, Law, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration or
Finance & Accounting. Possession of a
Master’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Law, Economics, Finance,
Accounting, Statistics, Commerce, Business Administration or Finance &
Accounting. - At
least eight (8) years relevant work experience in financial and risk
Analysis three (3) of which should have been at managerial level. - Be
a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) - Exceptional
communications skills - Possess
the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team - General
knowledge and understanding of the retirement benefits sector. - Proficiency
in Computer Applications - Possess
excellent interpersonal skills. - Exceptional
communication skills
