Commission (EOC) was established by the Equal Opportunities Act of 2007 and is
mandated to provide a framework for redressing imbalances which exist against
the marginalized groups while promoting equal opportunities for all.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible
for ensuring implementation of the Commission’s policies and programs. - Managing
the timely preparation of budgetary estimates and monitoring effective
utilization of Commission funds - Ensuring
availability, distribution, efficient and effective utilization of
logistics. - Ensuring
adherence to Government financial and human resource policies and
regulations. - Managing
the Commission’s physical assets - In
charge of communicating and implementing Government Policies - Guiding,
controlling and coordinating administrative matters - Representing
the Commission at various fora as and when required to do so - Supervising
and mentoring subordinate staff - Drafting
Cabinet memoranda - Initiating
the development of policies. - Perform
any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
Under Secretary should hold an Honors Degree in Arts or Social Sciences or
Management plus a minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma in Public
Administration or Business Administration or Development and Management
Studies and a Certificate in Administrative Law from a recognized
University/Institution. - At
least ten (10) years relevant working experience in Public Finance/Administration,
three (3) of which should have been served at the level of Principal
Assistant Secretary/Principal Level in the field of Administration in
Government or equivalent experience from a reputable organization. - The
applicants should have the following competences: Leadership, planning and
organizing, and financial management skills.
