• Perform regular assessment, maintenance and major
  repairs on Power transformers, high voltage switchgears, and other
  substation equipment.
• Assembly, test and commissioning of Power
  Transformers, high voltage switchgears, and other substation equipment.
• Responsible for the management of UETCL Plant / Site
  and Installations, i.e. Plant /Site Inventory Management, expense management,
  movement tracking, etc.
• Equipment Management, Switching and Safety, i.e.
  routine Checks, raising works- orders, noting abnormal equipment
  indications, etc.
• Lay cables and wire protection panels, equipment, and
  switchgears according to circuit diagrams and standards.
• Clean protection panels, equipment and switchgears in
  plant house (control room) according to UETCL standards.
• Collect materials from stores and check their
  worthiness according to approved requisition voucher and required specs.
• Attend to plant and system emergencies whenever
  called upon.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time
  to time.

• The applicants should hold Higher Technical Diploma
  (HTD) in Electrical or its equivalent from a recognized Technical
  Institute.
• At least two years’ experience in the following:
• Repair of switch gears or industrial plants and
  accessories
• Good knowledge and understanding and interpreting
  engineering drawings and circuit diagrams
• Power Cables and SF6 gas handling
• Highly computer literate
• Must
  have undertaken competence safety training.
• Possess a valid National Driving Permit
• Ability to withstand stressful work situations and
  have willingness to work long hours outside the normal hours.
• Be a person of integrity, high motivated and
  committed team player.
