Job
Summary: The General Manager – Operations will be
responsible for ensuring the operational efficiencies in order to ensure a
competitive advantage for the company. Also, the incumbent will provide
decision support on operational matters to the Managing Director.

- Develop the Company’s
Operations strategy. - Regularly review the
Company’s Operations strategy and ensure its effectiveness - Develop appropriate
strategies that will promote the company’s operations and ensure timely
implementation. - Manage the Underwriting,
Claims, Product Development, Customer Service and Premium Processing
functions. - Develop a robust Reinsurance
Program. - Establish standards for the
company and interdepartmental service level agreements that will improve
the company’s service ratings. - Enhance operational
efficiency for the Underwriting, Claims and Customer Service functions. - Ensure proper operating
guidelines are in place in line with company policy and regulatory
requirements and monitor compliance. - Set and monitor operations
budgets - Ensure that the underwriting
policies reflect the Company’s strategic risk management framework and are
observed at all times. - Ensure that service to
customers and procedures meets their expectations. - Ensuring that the Company’s
procurement is cost effective, efficient and done professionally and in
accordance with the Company’s policy. - Technically support the
Company’s strategic plan by ensuring a reliable Customer relationship
Management system, insure appropriate staffing levels, effective
performance management and motivation of staff.
Qualifications,

- The candidate should hold a
Master’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree in the Financial Services ACII Qualification. - At least five years post
qualification experience, Five years in Senior Management, Ten years in
Insurance operations - Excellent time management
skills - Assertiveness and self- drive
- Technical skills
- Speed and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills - Ability to work under
pressure and manage time efficiently - Possess the ability to solve
problems and decisions effectively.
Age: Above 40 years old
