About US:
The Equal Opportunities
Commission (EOC) was established by the Equal Opportunities Act of 2007 and is
mandated to provide a framework for redressing imbalances which exist against
the marginalized groups while promoting equal opportunities for all.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Initiating
    and conducting research relevant to the mandate of the Commission
  • Regularly
    analyzing the findings and making recommendations
  • Studying
    and identifying relevant issues from research conducted by other Agencies
  • In
    charge of developing acceptable project proposals/ research tools and
    instruments for approval by the Commission
  • Perform
    any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    Senior Research Officer should possess an Honors Degree in Quantitative
    Economics, Population Studies, Statistics, Demography, Public Policy,
    Social Sciences or Social Work and Social Administration (SWASA) from a
    recognized institution. Possession of postgraduate qualification with
    research methods will be an added advantage.
  • At
    least three years of relevant working experience at the level of Research
    Officer in Government or equivalent level of experience in reputable
    organization.
  • The
    applicant should be Competent in Research and information management.
