About US:
The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) was
established by the Equal Opportunities Act of 2007 and is mandated to provide a
framework for redressing imbalances which exist against the marginalized groups
while promoting equal opportunities for all.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for
    maintaining/building the good image and reputation of the Commission
  • Popularizing the
    services and activities of the Commission
  • Managing the flow of
    information between and among the Commission stakeholders
  • In charge of
    developing media announcements and critically verifying other means of
    engagement with the media
  • Ensuring custody of
    all media print, recordings and documentaries.
  • Initiating and
    coordinating media engagements
  • Perform any other
    duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The Public Relations
    Officer should possess an Honor’s Degree in Mass Communication,
    Journalism, Mass Media, Law and Management Studies. A Post Graduate
    Diploma in Public Relations, Media or Mass Communication will be an added
    advantage.
  • At least two (2)
    years working experience in the field of Public Relations in Government or
    reputable organization
