General (OAG) is an institution established under the provisions of Article 163
of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda. Its mandate, functions and
powers are enshrined in the National Audit Act, 2008. The main function of the
OAG is to audit and report on the Public Accounts of Uganda and all Public
offices or bodies and/or organization established by an Act of Parliament.
- Conduct
macroeconomic analysis and forecasting. - Responsible
for updating and maintaining a statistical data to support macroeconomic
analysis and forecasting. - Actively
participate in accountability sector development planning. - Actively
participating in the analysis of national and sector development policies,
plans and public expenditure programs. - Coordinating
the participation of sector directorates and other stakeholders in the
planning and budgeting process. - In
charge of the preparation and consolidation of quarterly work plans
progress reports. - Preparation
of the OAG annual operational work plans. - Perform
any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- The
OAG Planner should hold an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in either Economics,
Statistics OR Quantitative Economics from a recognized University or
Institution. - The
applicants must be computer literate especially in the use of Microsoft
Excel, Word, Powerpoint, SPSS, STATA, innovative and self-motivated.
