Job Summary: The
Information Security Officer will mainly monitor the information systems while
identifying risk exposures and making appropriate recommendations for risk
mitigation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Regularly
    review and assess inherent risks within new processes and systems.
  • Actively
    monitor system security settings, identify and report breaches with
    recommendations
  • Review
    system security control to identify security gaps and recommend
    appropriate improvements
  • Actively
    coordinate IT Control Self-Assessment (CSA)
  • Accept
    sensitization/training of staff on Information security risk
  • Review
    the information security policies and procedures to ensure that they are
    relevant to the current development in information technology.
  • Actively
    monitor compliance with information security policies and procedures.
  • Responsible
    for monitoring developments in the environment and identify potential risk
    exposures to the Fund.
  • Develop
    appropriate tools for monitoring information security exposures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    candidates should hold Bachelor’s degrees in Information Technology/
    Computer Science/Information Systems with a professional qualification
    like CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM
  • A
    minimum of three years hands on technical experience in dealing with
    information security
  • Excellent
    analytical skills and keenness to detail
  • Detailed
    knowledge of operational risk
  • High
    degree of creativity and innovation
  • Possess
    the ability to provide appropriate advice to control risks
  • Excellent
    interpersonal skills
