Buganda Land Board is an agency
of the Kabaka of Buganda which was entrusted with managing land belonging to
Buganda Kingdom. Buganda Land Board will match with its vision of being a
centre of excellence in Entrepreneurial land management and development in
Uganda and beyond. In order to achieve this, it is imperative Human Resource
Management is given a high priority and this will involve the development of a
perfect blend between traditional administrative functions and the well-being
of all employees within the organization to meet these expectations.
Job Summary:  The Human Resource Manager will be responsible
for the development and application of ongoing research on strategic advances
while hiring, terminating and training staff. The incumbent will be responsible
for understanding and relating to employees as individuals, thus identifying
individual needs and career goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible
    for developing positive interactions between workers, to ensure collated
    and constructive enterprise productivity and development of a uniform
    organizational culture.
  • Identify
    areas that suffer lack of knowledge and insufficient training, and
    accordingly provide remedial measures in the form of workshops, seminars
    and any other means as seen fit by the Human resource manager.
  • Generate
    a rostrum for all employees to express their goals and provide the
    necessary resources to accomplish professional and personal agendas,
    essentially in that order.
  • Innovate
    new operating practices to minimize risk and generate an overall sense of
    belonging and accountability.
  • Actively
    support the recruitment and making provisions for expressed and promised
    payroll and benefits.
  • Responsible
    for implementing resource strategies to subsequently create and sustain
    competitive advantage and welfare of staff.
  • Ensure
    workforce planning and recruitment, induction, orientation and employee training,
    administration and appraisals.
  • Empowerment
    of the organization, to successfully meet strategic goals by managing
    staff effectively.
  • Proposed
    salary as in BLB salary structures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate should possess a good university degree in Human Resource
    Management from a recognized university. Possession of a Master’s degree
    will be an added advantage.
  • A
    minimum of five years of working experience in a similar position and
    reputable organization.
  • Be
    an effective communicator with good interpersonal skills and ability to
    meet critical deadlines
  • Possess
    the ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Computer
    literacy skills
  • Ability
    to handle multiple tasks, good organizational skills, representation and
    must be able to work independently.
  • High
    degree of confidentiality.
Age: Above 40 years
