- Offering timely
technical assistance and guidance to all staff - Responsible for
evaluating and planning for the information system needs of the department
and preparing the budget for information system projects - Providing
recommendations and making justification for technical specifications for
hardware/software - Responsible for
designing, developing and maintaining computerized information systems and
diagnosing server management issues. - Interpreting
regulations to determine impact on assigned system functions; developing
system modifications to ensure compliance with regulations. - Responsible for
preparing user manuals, procedures and ensuring system requirements are
met. - Ensuring work
quality and adherence to established policies and procedures and
performing technical and complex tasks relative to the assigned area of
responsibility. - Reviewing system,
application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as
backups of database and critical files. - In charge of
troubleshooting faults in the Data Centre systems and subsystems. - Providing,
installation configuration, operation, and maintenance of the Data Centre
systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. - Perform any other
duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- The Systems Administrator
should hold an Honors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering
or other relevant qualification in Systems Analysis/Design/Development
from a recognized - University/Institution.
Possession of a Post Graduate Diploma in the above related field from a
recognized University/Institution shall be an added advantage. - At least two (2)
years relevant working experience in Government or equivalent level of experience
from a reputable organization in systems administration or related field.
