As an Administrative
Assistant, you will be based in our Kampala Office and you will be focusing on
the following:
- Ensure
proper implementation of the laid down administrative procedures and
providing input for continuous improvement; - Ensure
that follow up/reminder to all Debtors are sent out with in specified
periods; - Manage
the running of the departmental registry by ensuring that client files and
other files are opened and closed in time and the agreed deadlines,
records are up-to-date; - Perform
background research/collect information for various special reports
required by the staff and management and present the findings in a usable
form; - Receive/dispatch
correspondences/items from/to the BSS department, client staff/managers; - Process
basic accounts; - Build
and foster excellent external relations and follow up on relevant issues; - Actively
coordinate logistics and plan for meetings, book rooms, prepare agenda,
presentation materials and minutes, ensure that catering services and
other necessary materials are available; - Follow
up on the agreed action points; - Perform
any other tasks that may be assigned.
- The
ideal candidate for the Deloitte job vacancy should hold a University
degree preferably in Accounting/Commerce/Finance, Secretarial studies,
Human Resource (HR), Public Administration, Sociology, Social Sciences,
Art, or related field; - Basic
accounting knowledge is an added advantage; - At
least one year to two years’ experience in providing accounting/finance,
administrative services (especially in a large organisation); - Possess
the ability to manage processes and maintain accurate records; - Highly
proficient in oral and written English; - Excellent
organisation and planning skills with ability to handle work in an
efficient and timely manner; - Computer
literacy skills i.e. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; and - Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills.
