About MUST:
Mbarara University of Science
& Technology (MUST), commonly known as Mbarara University, is a public
university in Uganda. Mbarara University commenced student intake and
instruction in 1989. It is one of the eight public universities and
degree-awarding institutions in the country. MUST is accredited by the Uganda
National Council for Higher Education.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible
    for the management and monitoring of the usage of computers in the
    computer rooms
  • Responsible
    for maintaining the security of computers
  • Asset
    tracking of IT equipment in computer rooms
  • In
    charge of deploying, maintenance and service plans for computers in the
    rooms
  • Performance
    of software and hardware repairs and maintenance routines
  • Send
    periodic reports on the status of respective computer rooms
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant should hold both UCE and UACE
    Certificates
  • The candidate must also hold a Certificate in Technical
    Computing e.g. Computer Engineering/Computer Science/CompTIA A+
  • Professional Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
    Certificate
  • IT Essentials (ITE)
  • A  minimum of
    two or more years of relevant experience
