About US:
Sun Spot (U) Ltd has been involved in business
of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for three years in the East-Africa and it
has been focusing on sales and marketing as well as technical services and
after sales services. Now it is starting the project that is run by the
international consortium and its local Ugandan partner, Sun Spot, is
responsible for the local business. The consortium has secured financing from
the Energy and Environment Partnership Programme With Southern And East Africa,
a project financed by the Ministry for
Foreign Affairs of Finland, the Austrian Development
Agency and the UK Department
for International Development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- In charge of
assembling of solar systems - Responsible for the
installation of solar systems - In charge of repairs
and maintenance - Calculations in
solar appliances - Providing timely
technical advice to the clients
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The suitable
candidate for the Technician vacancy should have a diploma in mechanical
engineering or equivalent - A minimum of three
or more years’ experience in the field of electricity and solar energy
experience will be an added advantage. - The applicants
should be persons with enthusiasm and motivation to work within solar
energy, with the ability to work in a team, with good interpersonal
skills, planning, organizing and communication skills in order to present
ideas to clients and co-workers. - Possess the ability
to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines in the business world and
the willingness to travel within Uganda and work upcountry.
