Job Summary: The
Barclays MI Analyst -Products will be responsible for monitoring and
coordinating management Information in Retail. The incumbent will also support
a sustained improvement in Service evidenced by reduced of customer calls and
positive feedback from the business. He /s she will also collect and submit key
KPI for Uganda to Head of MI, Performance Analysts, Retail staff  and Regional Office on case by case basis.
The duty bearer should coordinate communication cascades and escalate feedback
to the Head of MI & Performance Analysts. The incumbent will be responsible
for coordinating collection of all MI in Retail
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
1. MI Collection, Management
and Improvement: 60%
  • Embed
    the importance of data integrity and accuracy.
  • Technically
    support service improvements (turn around time, MI, deepstrick, ISQ
    ratings)
  • Provide
    value adding performance feedback to Head of MI & Performance
    Analysts.
  • Intuitively
    analyse MI and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Analyse
    trends of service disconnects and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide
    various daily MI and operational errors. Give an analysis of the MI &
    commentaries.
  • Identify
    and evaluate improvements in performance and present in a compelling and
    coherent manner.
  • Develop
    new MI in line with new services and products being offered by the bank.
2. Driving Business
Performance: 20%
  • Responsible
    for planning, organising and controlling the MI reporting framework
  • Escalate
    poor performance areas to Head of MI and Performance Analysts.
  • Profit
    & Loss monitoring and reporting
  • Supporting
    the Head of MI in managing profit & Loss accounts through tracking
    entries posted to the account.
3. Change Management: 10%
  • Technically
    support and embed Business Performance Improvement initiative.
  • Manage,
    control and monitor business as usual projects within Retail
  • Add
    up changes in the design of MI as need arises
4. Self:5%
  • Agree
    performance development objectives with the team leader.
  • Pursue
    self-development to increase personal effectiveness, acknowledging
    strengths and areas for development.
5. People: 5%: Run recognition schemes within Retail.
6. Community: 5%
  • Participate
    in local community events and networking opportunities (e.g. clubs,
    meetings, business associations)
  • Identify
    community initiatives to become involved in and support as part of
    Barclays community initiatives (such as Make a Difference Day, Local
    community initiative, Financial Literacy)
  • Link
    community initiatives to both business opportunities and colleague events
  • Actively
    promote community agenda within the branch to build pride within colleagues
    and customers
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate for the MI – Analyst Products vacancy should have working
    knowledge and understanding of Retail products & services.
  • Good
    working knowledge of Bank policies and procedures.
  • Productivity
    management & process improvement techniques
  • Good
    understanding of the end-to-end process & workflow
  • In
    depth knowledge and application of Communication, promotional planning and
    events management fields both internal and external best practice
    including techniques and associated tools.
  • Excellent

    PC Skills with special emphasis on high proficiency in excel and other
