Associates is a Professional Services Firm that provides Financial Consultancy
Services including Assurance and Business Advisory Services, Business Planning,
Feasibility studies & Project Proposal Preparation, Human Resource, Risk
Management and Information System Solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Render support in all aspects of the audit process
including planning, fieldwork and completion; - Execute detailed audit procedures, including reviewing
transactions, documents, records, reports and procedures and conducting
audit tests which are sufficient in scope to support professional opinions
as to the fair presentation of the clients’ financial statements; - Support in the preparation of financial statements,
reports and analytical reviews as necessary; - Plan a job including preparation for preplanning
meeting; liaising with the clients for information during the audit; - Prepare work papers with records and summarize audit
procedures performed and ensure that working papers are filed and well
documented; - Actively communicate any technical and administrative
issues with supervisor; - Quickly refer to the firm’s risk management policies
and procedures and be familiar with its requirements and guidelines; - Ensure assigned work is completed within agreed time
frame and carried out per approved methodologies and standards and within
the agreed budget; - Can obtain an understanding of the client’s businesses
and analyze client issues, reaching logical conclusions; - Perform any other duties that might be assigned to them
from time to time.
- The Associate should hold a degree in Bachelors of
Science in Accounting and Finance, Bachelor’s of Commerce, Bachelor’s
Degree in Business Administration from a recognized University or relevant
discipline; - Possession of Part qualifications in ACCA, CPA or CIMA
is desirable; - At least four years’ experience in accounting, auditing
industry; - Possess excellent financial management skills and
Ability to work under minimum supervision; - Highly self-motivated with demonstrated ability to
generate financial reports and meet deadlines with good integrity and confidentiality; - Working knowledge of computerized accounting software
like Quick books, Tally etc is an added
advantage; - Possess the ability to maintain personal professional
development and competencies on financial issue; and - Be a good team player with good interpersonal,
communication and creative thinking skills; - Possess exceptional analytical skills, problem solving
abilities;
