Job Summary: The Finance
Officer will be responsible for financial management of ARC and ensuring value
for money in all transactions
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Requests,
    receives and files receipts and/or advance documents; reconciles daily
    disbursements and receipts.
  • Ensures
    adequate liquidity levels by reporting daily Bank and Cash balance
    holdings of the Organisation.
  • Regular
    reviews and audits receipts received from the field and other departments
    for accuracy, completeness, relevance, reasonableness, allow ability, and
    compliance, and point out anomalies to the Finance Manager, or the
    Financial Controller
  • Prepares
    and ensures accurate monthly payroll payments remittances of local staff
    to their Bank Accounts and Statutory bodies (URA, NSSF and or residential
    councils for LST) respectively.
  • Responsible
    for the preparing and sending daily/ weekly expenditure reports at the end
    of every week and month for Upload and posting.
  • Acts
    as an agent on all bank transactions and bank related routine issues with
    the organisation
  • Supports
    the Finance Manager to carry out audits to ensure adequate systems of
    internal control.
  • Ensures
    that all financial documents and reports are filed and labeled
  • Actively
    contributes significantly to the ongoing process of continuous improvement
    of the financial management system and the internal control.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    candidate should hold a Degree in Business Studies Accounting option,
    Finance or any other related field
  • A
    minimum of three years’ experience working experience as an accountant in
    a busy organization
  • Computer
    literacy skills in Microsoft office (especially Excel)
  • Proven
    organizational skills and ability to multitask under tight deadlines
