Job Summary: The Enterprise Administrator will administer

This will include the hardware, system architecture, operating system

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement the enterprise
architecture. - Installation, configuration and
maintenance of the organization’s NT operating systems and all related
systems and software. - Provide best practice support services
for the systems under Enterprise Support Services (ESS) management
responsibility. - Update, maintain, tune and patch systems
for optimum performance and security. - Ensure changes are planned and
implemented in a sound low risk manner, with minimal system outages. - Provide implementation support for
Enterprise Support Services (ESS) to approved projects, when appointed to
a project. - Prepare and maintain key team support
documents. - Provide on-call support and participate
in 24 x 7 roster rotation groups. - Assist Service Management and
Application teams in solving intermittent recurring problems. - Offer solutions architecture advice
(where qualified / experienced to do so). - Provide Technical Project Management
(where experience and asked to do so). - Provide technical support for costing
solutions (hardware, software, and implementation labour), (where experienced
and / or being coached in doing so).
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The candidates for the Enterprise
Administrator jobs should hold Bachelor’s degrees in IT or related field. - Two years of Server administration.
- At least one year’s experience in
systems deployment backup and recovery. - Possession of professional Microsoft certifications in Server, Exchange, Administration knowledge of SQL 2000 / 2005 – SQL Admin
- VB scripts, DTS packages, Stored Procedures, Reporting, Backup and Restore with SQL Server 2000 / 2005.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Exchange 2003
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of
WINS, DNS and DHCP. - In depth understanding of all aspects of
networking. - Working knowledge and proficiency in VMWare ESX 3.5/4.
- Firewalls and security.
- Storage Architecture.
- Mission critical 24 / 7 environment
