Job Summary: The System Integrator will be responsible for;
- System
integration on turnkey and support projects – IT hardware and software,
metering and control equipment. - Compile
and submit specific reports for client by means of Visual Studio - Fault
analysis on clients system so as to assist in the prevention of fraud.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible
for the construction, configuration and commissioning of central
processing facilities and servers for energy monitoring and control
systems - Responsible
for the installation and commissioning of operating systems and databases
on data collection and control servers - In
charge of the configuration and commissioning of communication between
field devices and servers - Responsible
for the configuration of metering and other field devices according to an
engineering specification - Installation,
configuration and commissioning of load data acquisition and display
software - Installation,
configuration and commissioning of real-time client/server and web-based
software modules - Assistance
with compilation of functional specifications for the IT components of
energy management and control systems - Provide
first-line and functionality training on proprietary software to clients
and end-users - On-site
system commissioning - On-site
fault finding and troubleshooting - Assist
with other tasks within the department as required due to resource loading
and operational requirements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
applicants should have technical tertiary qualification - Professional/technical
degree/certificate e.g. B. Comm, BS (IT) and or related - Good
customer interface & Good communication skills – both spoken and
written. - Process
driven & demonstrated ability to work under pressure - High
personal initiative and pro-active disposition. - Possess
the ability and willingness to work flexible hours. - Keen
attention to detail - Computer
literacy skills with strong knowledge of MS Office - Attained
formal training required - Metering
fundamentals - Networking
fundamentals - Metering
and network experience (2-3 years) - Basic
knowledge of tariff structures
