is a Ugandan health communication NGO registered in 1997.
Job Summary:  The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be
responsible for the provision of accurate information on performance and
achievement of organizational objective through periodic research and
evaluation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Actively
    participate in the development and review of M&E frameworks:
    strategic; programme and projects to ensure their coordination
  • Participate
    in the design of appropriate tools for research and evaluation processes
  • Participate
    in regular implementation of M&E activities across STF to inform
    programmes and projects’ decision making
  • Prepare
    quality and timely monitoring, evaluation and research reports
  • Document
    and share lessons learnt and best practices across STF and other
    stakeholders
  • Conduct
    on relevant topics
  • Build
    the capacity of STF staff in monitoring and evaluation
  • Perform
    regular quality assurance checks on programme and project activities in
    line with programme/project objectives, standards and M&E frameworks
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant should hold a degree in a demography, social science, public
    health or statistics with further training in monitoring and evaluation.
  • Three
    or more years’ experience working in market research, social research or
    programme evaluation and monitoring including design of systems and tools,
    data analysis and report writing
  • Working
    knowledge of Logical framework approach and other strategic planning
    approaches
  • Experience
    in M&E approaches and methods (including quantitative, qualitative and
    participatory)
  • Skills
    in Data analysis packages like SPSS, EPI DATA, EPINFO, MS Access.
  • Knowledge
    of Research methods and analysis
  • Records
    management processes
  • Planning
    and implementation of an M&E system
  • Budgeting
    skills
