Surveyor
of the Kabaka of Buganda which was entrusted with managing land belonging to
Buganda Kingdom.
- Search
legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain information about
property boundaries in areas to be surveyed. - Calculate
heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other
characteristics of terrain. - Responsible
for preparing and maintaining sketches, maps, reports, and legal
descriptions of surveys to describe, verify, certify, and assume liability
for work performed. - Oversee
or conduct surveys to establish property boundaries for land, based on
legal deeds, titles or any other useable survey record. - Prepare
or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and
documents related to surveys. - Write
descriptions of property boundary surveys and other survey reports for use
in deeds, leases, or other legal documents. - Compute
geodetic measurements and interpret survey data to determine positions,
shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features. - Plan
and carry out surveys and record the results of surveys including the
shape, contour, location, baselines, elevation, and dimensions of land or
land features. - Ensure
proper use and maintenance of surveying instruments during their use,
movement and storage. - Plan
and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations,
and other geodetic measurements.
- The
ideal candidates for the Land Surveyor Jobs should hold Bachelor’s degree
in science surveying from a recognized university. - Possess
highly effective communication and interpersonal skills - Possess
the ability to meet critical deadlines. - Proactive,
a good knowledge of working with communities. - Confidentiality
is paramount
