About SHOPS Project:
Through the SHOPS project, Abt
Associates works to increase the role of the private sector in the sustainable
provision and use of quality health services. In Uganda it implements a safe
motherhood voucher program called the Healthy Baby Voucher Program (HBVP) &
the Zinc/ORS scale up program.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively
participate in workshop on data collection; - Manage
the data collection process and verify data collected by research
assistants; - Appropriately
communicate with SHOPS technical lead throughout the data collection
period to address any challenges or difficulties faced and ensure high
quality of data collected; - Quickly
respond to all communication with monitoring team and technical leader to
validate data.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Verification
of data received from research assistants, submitted in a timely manner,
completed at high level of quality, validated by technical leader.; - Data
collection progress reports as each facility is completed (approximately
every two days)
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- All
applicants should hold College degrees or specialized training in data
collection and research - Previous
experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection - Keen
attention to details - Possess
excellent interviewing skills - Past
experience with in-the-field supervision of a team of research assistants - Available
to travel to Western Uganda - Personal
laptop computer available for use during research period - Fluency
in English required; local languages preferred
