Job Summary: The
Valuation Officer will conduct valuation of all company land and property at a
particular time taking into account all the features of the property and
facilitate property audits and surveys.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Survey,
inspection, valuation, participate and give advice during selection and
acquisition of sites for property development to ensure value for money. - Assembling
data, comparables and their analysis - The
incumbent will do the determination of rent, rent collection, tenant
selection. - In
charge of the allocation of tenancies, Advice on relevant legislation,
Advice on rentals and rent reviews, Advise on Title Deeds, Leases,
Agreements, etc - Determination
of sales values, selling, leasing. - Preparation
of Valuation Reports and Recommendations - Compile
and regularly update a comprehensive Property Register of Company landed
assets. - Prepare
Valuation Reports. - Review
Valuation Reports from outsourced Valuers. - Provide
general and professional advice on Valuation and related matters. - Provide
professional advice on Estates Management and Land Management Services. - Follow
up and ensure timely, assessment, payment and receipt of Ground Rent. - Follow
up and ensure timely Property Rates payments to relevant authorities. - Performs
any other duties as may be assigned by management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
Valuation Officer should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Economics, or a
closely related and relevant discipline, from a recognized University. - At
least five years’ working experience as a Valuer or in a similar position,
in a large and reputable Construction, or Civil Works Company, or
reputable Valuation firm. - Full
and valid membership of a nationally, or internationally recognized
professional Valuation Surveying body, as well as a valid professional
practicing certificate (or at least Professional Associate), are a must. - Proven
knowledge and skills in application of MS Office Packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint are
essential. - Prior
experience in working with public, or private sector organizations
involved in housing-related projects, or programs, shall be an added
advantage. - Proven
negotiation and communication skills. - Highly
results-oriented. - Proven
presentation and reporting abilities. - Excellent
interpersonal and human relations skills, as well as a team-player. - Analytical,
accuracy and judgmental skills. - Coordination
and networking skills. - Good
IT and computer proficiency skills. - Maturity,
high ethics and integrity. - A
confident, independent, articulate and reliable personality. - Possess
the ability to work under tight deadlines and for long hours.
