Job Summary: The Project
Nutritionist will oversee all nutrition interventions at district level (Infant
and Young Child Feeding, and treatment of acute malnutrition in CMAM and
reporting. She / he will be responsible for technical supervision and training
of all district nutrition staff and frequent monitoring of field activities.

of all district nutrition staff and frequent monitoring of field activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop
and submit the work plan and update on monthly basis. - Technically
support the field level implementing structure, (community volunteers,
health facility staff, VHTs) in referral, counter referral and follow up
of the malnourished individuals. - Strengthen
the capacity of community and facility staff in nutrition assessment,
counselling, integration and treatment in collaboration with the MoH - Work
closely with MoH, and other stakeholders to conduct joint quarterly
monitoring of malnourished children, mothers and adults in the community. - Work
with the VHTs, mother support groups to conduct practical food
demonstration using local available materials in the communities. - Ensure
timely review and submission of statistical and narrative reports. - Organize
regional, district level forum on nutrition activities. - Compile
and send monthly, biannual and annual reports. - Supervise
and manage the supplies, reporting, data, project budget, work plan etc. - Work
with M&E team to document best practices, lessons learnt and success
stories about SFP nutrition intervention. - Perform
any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
candidate should hold a University Degree in Human Nutrition Dietetics,
Food Science and Technology, Public health or any other relevant field - Three
or more years working experience in related field - Past
exposure and experience in IYCF and IMAM training. - Good
monitoring and report writing skills. - Ability
to work with minimum supervision and able to meet deadlines. - Ability
to ride a motorbike an added advantage. - Possess
excellent interpersonal skills, proven networking, team-building,
organizational and communication skills - Computer
literacy skills are essential. - Be
a mature Christian with proven active involvement a local church
