educational development. We believe that the quality of Education cannot exceed
the quality of teachers therefore our primary interest is on supporting
teachers thus building their capacity as educators. With our headquarters
located in Seoul, we are about to launch a new project in Gulu, Uganda. The
focus of our project is on primary teachers’ instructional capacity building in
literacy and numeracy.

of teachers. The incumbent will be responsible for executing / supporting
program activities for our project under the supervision of regional program
manager.
- Actively
participate in regular meetings with District Education Office, Gulu Core
Primary Teachers’ College and TLS(Teaching and Learning Support) team. - Regularly
visit pilot schools regularly, support SLC (School-based Learning
Community) and have meetings with headteachers and teachers. - Organise
in-service teacher trainings (workshop, seminar, etc) throughout the year. - Build,
forge and network between District Education Office and TLS team and
promote the capacity building project in Ugandan education field - Collect
and analyse monitoring data and summarise findings in monitoring reports. - Technically
support Korean TLS team members and visiting teachers from Korea to adapt
to the local environment; and - Perform
other duties and tasks as may be assigned from time to time at the request
of the organisation’s management.
- The
candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Teacher
Education from a recognised institution. - A
minimum of three or more years of professional experience in educating /
training primary school teachers. - Comprehensive
knowledge and understanding of primary education curriculum and methodology. - Good
understanding of Ugandan education system. - Professional
experience in using ICT. - Exceptional
research and analytical skills. - Excellent
monitoring and report writing skills. - Excellent
communication skills, in particular ability to summarise complex information
in an accessible manner - Creative,
innovative thinking and the ability to adapt quickly are desirable traits.
