About NCHE:
The National Council for Higher
Education (NCHE) was established under “The Universities and Other
Tertiary Institutions Act, 2001” for regulating and guiding the establishment
and management of institutions of higher learning, regulating the quality of
higher education, equating of qualifications and for advising government on
higher education issues.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Supports the Administrative Officer in the
    day to day running of the HR and Administrative Office;
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned from
    time to time by the superiors.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Records
    Register of inventory;
  • Records
    policy;
  • Records
    retention schedule;
  • Back-ups;
  • Management
    Information Systems;
  • Data
    banks.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The applicants should preferably hold Bachelors’
    degrees in Administrative and Secretarial Science or equivalent;
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working as an
    Administrative Assistant (Receptionist, Secretary etc);
  • Be computer / ICT literate;
  • Good knowledge of performance appraisals;
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
