Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The
Project Officer will implement all activities as described in the project
proposal based on ZOA’s country and programme policy. - Actively
participating in developing annual implementation plan and strategy for
the project - Actively
participating in developing training modules for farmer groups. - Ensures
implementation and monitoring of the project in line with donor
requirements - Responsible
for establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with farmers,
communities and local leaders to bring positive result to ZOA’s mission. - The
incumbent organizes meetings with community and farmer groups to build and
maintain relations, and ensures proper participation in project activities - Actively
facilitates project management committees and beneficiaries in all stages
of the project - Offers
technical support in technical areas to develop farmer groups’
effectiveness in dealing with private service providers according to needs
and experience - Organizing
and delivering trainings and workshops for Project committees and
beneficiaries - Produces
and sends monthly and activity reports as required by ZOA
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
Project Officer Agriculture/Crop Husbandry should hold a Diploma level in
agriculture or related field - At
least two years’ experience in community mobilization and extension work
in related job - Past
exposure end experience in APFS methodology and farmer training - Positive
and open personality - Excellent
command of Kiswahili and English. - Computer
skills and reporting skills Motorbike driving license (Must) - Good
communication, writing and facilitation skills - Willingness
to live and work in Amudat district Knowledge of Pokot will be an added
advantage
