War Child Holland (WCH) is an international non-governmental
organization investing in a peaceful future for children and young people
affected by armed conflict. Since 2004 War Child Holland has been working in
Uganda and currently operates in Acholi and Lango.
Job Summary: The War Child Finance
Officer (FO) is responsible for bookkeeping, compliant to relevant accounting
principles and internal/external donor requirements, budget control and other
general financial management activities. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible
for HR administration and adherence to HR policies.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicants who possess finance-related
    degrees is preferred
  • A minimum of seven or more years of
    working experience
  • At least five years of relevant working
    experience is a pro
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English
  • Past experience in SAGE is required
  • Prior experience in Excel (analysing data,
    making overviews etc).
  • Excellent communication, problem solving
    and analytical skills
  • Analysing capability, consistent and
    transparent
  • Highly efficient and conscious of time
  • Good planning and organization skills
  • Possess the ability to work with a high
    degree of professionalism
  • Accurate, pro-active and results oriented
  • Team player
