Information Officer
autonomous Corporation that was established by an Act of Parliament 1993. Our
mandate is to procure, store and distribute medicines and other medical
supplies to public health facilities in Uganda.
Administrator will be responsible for the installation and maintaining working
systems across the enterprise as and when necessary, in line with the Company’s
ICT strategy.
- Install,
support and maintain servers or other computer systems and associated
peripheral systems. - Intuitively
plan for and respond to service outages and other problems. - Script
or write applications or utilities - In
charge of carrying out project management for systems related projects - Manage
a team of computer problems beyond the knowledge of technical support
staff. - The
applicant will be the consultant or advisor for problems beyond the
knowledge of technical support staff. - Perform
his or her job well, a system administrator must demonstrate a blend of
technical skills and responsibility. - Offers
user support for desk top and server based applications.
- The
applicant should hold an honour’s degree in any of the following: Computer
Science, Computer applications, Information Technology or their
equivalent. - Professional
Information Technology Certifications such as Micro soft certified
professional, Cisco certified Network Associate or their equivalent.(
constitute an additional advantage). - At
least three years post qualification experience - Prior
experience in installations, upgrades, trouble shooting and repairing of
computers and their associated peripheral devices in multi-protocol
network environment preferably a large corporate. - The
applicant should be familiar with several operating systems such as
windows Server 2003/2008, Windows XP/Vista/7, UNIX/ Linux Directory, LDAP,
etc. - The
applicants must be familiar with general networking, Windows Active.
