NRC has secured funding from
Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) to implement
livelihoods (and related activities) in Adjumani/Arua refugee settlements in
2015.

Job Summary: The NRC
Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for all logistics activities;
Procurement, Transport, Stores, Asset and Maintenance for the NRC Uganda
office.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure
that all NRC procurements are completed according to procedures at all
times , and completed within the minimum time frames stipulated in NRC
policies. - Ensure
that an accurate and detailed monthly PR tracking report is circulated to
all projects, and that procurement team provides quick efficient and
supportive services to projects, with communication regarding difficulties
and concerns. - Ensure
that all NRC transport is handled within the NRC policies , and that a
monthly car pool report is produced ,with full analysis of fuel
consumption and maintenance issues to manage the fleet in the most cost
effective way. - The
job holder will make sure that NRC transport teams meet all project needs,
within the policies given. - Ensure
that all items moving through stores are handled in accordance with NRC
policies and procedures and in a timely and efficient manner. - Ensure
that an accurate monthly stock report is produced and shared with all
projects to facilitate the use of items in stock. - Ensure
that an accurate monthly asset register is produced and shared with all
projects to facilitate donor reporting and tracking of assets. - Ensure
that all maintenance needs are met in a timely manner, with high quality
works. - Ensure
that all staff are appropriately briefed on key aspects of logistics so as
to improve the service provided by logistics, and the communication
between teams. - Mentor
and supervise all officer level positions in logistics , and ensure a
motivate, dynamic ,result focused team, with clear roles and responsibilities
, by providing support ,direction and clear decision making on all
logistics issues. - Manage
and effectively deal with all problems arising within logistics teams, and
provide creative solutions, working within NRC policies. - The
job holder will also be the primary source of all logistics information in
NRC Uganda office
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
NRC Logistics Coordinator should hold a degree or Diploma or equivalence
in logistics is required. - Five
or more years’ experience - Past
NGO experience is mandatory - Significant
experience of managing staff and particularly drivers - Prior
experience of managing fleet of vehicles - Working
knowledge of local culture and language - Excellent
planning and organizational skills - Highly
proactive and team player - Computer
literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet.
