Job Summary: The
Security Officer will be responsible for implementing sustainable strategic and
operational security services that safeguard company property through
maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff visitors and customers by
as well as implementing and monitoring security policies and procedures and
supervision of security personnel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement
the security function of the company, keeping physical security measures
under constant review to ensure they are adequate to meet current threats
to the business, evaluate changes and proposing appropriate methods to
safeguard property and people. - In
charge of the deployment and management of security personnel to ensure
optimal performance - Responsible
for developing, updating and maintaining Security guidelines for use by
all on company premises. - Intuitively
review security risks faced by the company and advice on possible measures
and procedures to be taken for enhancement of a secure environment for
staff and customers. - Manage
the operations of hired security firms for a smooth provision of security
services to the company. - Carry
out security audits and initiate risk control measures. - Manage
all security incidents affecting staff, customers, and assets of the
company and taking appropriate action to resolve such incidents. - Develop
and promote security awareness amongst employees. - Conduct
various tasks in accordance with the security requirements, including
security surveys, security risk assessments, drafting relevant policies
and procedures and compiling security reports. - Ensure
that the appropriate level of training is provided for all security staff
on disasters; fire and bomb procedures; use of technical equipment and
routine security duties. - Ensure
that Company staff are fully trained and briefed on security matters
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
ideal candidate for the aforementioned job opportunity should hold a
Diploma in sociology or in related field from recognized institution. - Additional
training in security management or Criminology - Three
or more years’ experience in a security role in a large organization. - Possess
investigating and report writing skills as well as experience in writing
coherent security procedures. - Unquestionable
integrity, reliability, emotional resourcefulness problem solving skills,
and good judgment. - Possess
the ability to work independently and enhance teamwork.
