Manpower Services Uganda Ltd is part of the 25 years old Manpower
Services Group in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania with Kenya as the Headquarters. It
seeks to recruit for its valuable client, the leading player in the East
African motor industry with exclusive distribution of international brands
range of trucks (medium and heavy commercial) and an extensive range of farming
implements. They also have an Accident Repair workshop equipped with the latest
equipment in dent repair and re-spray booths.
Job Summary: The duty bearer
will formulate and execute a Marketing Policy and, generally be responsible for
the commercialization process of the Brand including positioning, packaging,
pricing, and presentation/selling to customers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Develop and execute a marketing plan for
    the brand(s) assigned that maximizes sales and productivity through
    satisfaction and retention of customers.
  • Forecast volumes, get budget approved and
    proactively identify and recommend business building initiatives that lead
    to the success of the brand(s) assigned.
  • Responsible for day-day management for
    brand(s) assigned-and monitoring all contracts and leads to ensure maximum
    sales.
  • Ensure optimum stock of Vehicles/brand(s)
    assigned on premises and/or on order.
  • Develop a sales plan, initiate and conduct
    launches and promotions to create awareness and promote sales of the
    brand(s) assigned.
  • Formulate and monitor sales targets for
    the Sales staff and ensure they get the relevant training to maximize
    sales of the brand(s) assigned.
  • Manage and track marketing budgets for the
    assigned brands.
  • Build and maintain working relationships
    with manufacturers’ representatives and all other relevant contacts.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidates should preferably
    hold a Business-related Honours degree from a recognized Institution.
  • Past sales management and marketing
    skills, knowledge and experience in the Motor Industry.
  • Possess the ability to manage and
    administer a Brand, to provide organization, systems and
  • leadership
  • Ability to motivate a sales team to
    achieve objectives.
  • Possession of technical qualifications is
    an added advantage.
