National Water and Sewerage
Corporation (NWSC) a leading organisation in the Water sector in Uganda with a
Vision “To be a leading Water Utility in the World.” NWSC is a utility
parastatal 100% owned by The Government of Uganda. It was established in 1972
under decree No: 34. The mandate of the Corporation as defined in the National
Water & Sewerage Corporation Statute of 1995, Section 5 (1), is to operate
and provide water and sewerage services in areas entrusted to it, on a sound,
commercial and viable basis. The NWSC operations were initially in three towns
of Kampala, Jinja, and Entebbe.
Job Summary: The NWSC
Estates Manager will ensure effective development, rehabilitation and
maintenance of the Corporation estates
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • In
    charge of preparing tender documents for estates works;
  • Project
    management and supervising and coordinating work of consultants and
    contractors;
  • Offer
    technical support in acquisition of new premises;
  • Responsible
    for the planning for future estates development in line with strategic
    business objectives;
  • Ensuring
    the Corporation facilities meet health and safety requirements;
  • Planning
    best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings,
    or re-organizing current premises;
  • Perform
    any other tasks assigned by Management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate for the Estates Manager must hold a Bachelors in
    Engineering or related field
  • At
    least four years of post-qualification experience in a vibrant
    organization.
  • Strong Professional skills and experience in Construction and Project Management Membership to professional body
  • Excellent
    interpersonal skills and high levels of integrity
  • Self-drive
    and resilience
  • Proven
    ability to work with a team of
    multi-disciplinary professionals
  • Excellent
    communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Proven
    ability to establish and maintain
    effective business relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders

years of age.
