Job Summary: The Programme
Manager – Livelihoods will develop, implement, monitor and lead a team in the
delivery of the DFID funded livelihoods programme on youth development. The
incumbent will also manage the strategic development, implementation and
successful delivery of the Youth Development Programme in Northern Uganda and
the approved areas beyond.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant should hold a Masters in development management related field or
    a bachelor’s in Agricultural Economics or Social Sciences with
    considerable experience in Livelihoods programming will be considered.
  • At
    least three years’ experience in managing complex development programmes.
  • Excellent
    understanding and experience of project cycle management tools to ensure
    effective planning, resourcing, implementation and review of programme and
    experience of organizational assessment, planning (Alternatively evidence
    of other equivalent qualifications.) and review tools and processes.
  • Past
    experience and knowledge of secure livelihoods as a programme area.
